John Bonham Signature Drumsticks Re-issued for 2020
Barnes & Mullins Ltd are delighted to announce the up-coming re-launch of the John Bonham Signature Drumstick. These premium Hickory sticks are made to the exact same specification as John Bonham’s original ‘Trees’ from the 1970s and feature his legendary ‘acorn’ tip. John Bonham signature sticks form a part of the larger range of Promuco Percussion sticks, brushes and rods.
With the official launch in mid-January at the NAMM Show in California, Promuco John Bonham re-issue sticks will be available for purchase in the UK and Ireland from February 2020, and shortly after from global partners across the world.
Back in 1964, the Professional Music Company started making drumsticks in Yorkshire, England. After a couple of years of limited success, a certain Buddy Rich caught on to the sticks and helped introduce them to the American market. Subsequently, Promuco sticks came to the attention of a growing number of influential drummers, and it was during the early 70s that John Bonham had his own sticks commissioned by the British manufacturer. The rest, as they say, is history.
Original Promuco John Bonham sticks are still in great demand with even single sticks selling for thousands of dollars. An original pair of John Bonham Promuco sticks are proudly displayed in the Hard Rock Café in Biloxi, Mississippi.
