New 'No.6' Parlour Acoustics from Rathbone
Rathbone Guitars are delighted to announce their new ‘No.6’ parlour acoustic guitars.
Available in two stunning models – R6SB (Spruce / Bocote) and R6M (all Mahogany) - Rathbone No.6 guitars exquisitely capture the spirit of Rathbone Guitars with their time-honoured short-scale parlour design matched with visually captivating and great sounding tonewoods.
The Rathbone No.6 R6SB combines a Solid Spruce top with highly figured Bocote wood for an eye-catching mix that responds similarly to maple instruments. It delivers excellent projection with wonderful clarity, whether stumming or fingerpicking. (SRP £415.00)
The all-mahogany Rathbone R6M parlour model exudes a classy vibe and delivers a warm and mellow tone that performs especially well as an accompaniment instrument. It responds well to strumming and fingerpicking, occupying the midrange with balance and personality. (SRP £299.00)
Rathbone’s guitar series cover a wide range of body designs and tonewood combinations to cater for a broad selection of acoustic guitarists. With their No.1 Baby-Concert aimed at travelling musicians, through to their electro No.3 Grand-Auditorium models, and even a short-scale baby-bass on offer in the No.4 series – players of all stages and tastes can easily find a model that suits them perfectly.
No.6 models are the first guitars available from Rathbone to pair a parlour body shape with a slotted headstock. Rathbone state, “As smaller bodied Parlour shaped guitars like the No.6 have a naturally delicate voice, the slotted headstock design works in harmony with the 12th fret neck join to deliver all-important tonal warmth, punch and dynamics… so not only will your Rathbone No.6 radiate a traditional Troubadour aesthetic, it’ll sound fantastic too!”
Rathbone No.6 guitars are available to buy now from authorised Rathbone Guitar dealers.
