"Over 1500 clarinet players attend 2024 ICA ClarinetFest in Dublin"

ClarinetFest is an annual event organised by the International Clarinet Association (ICA) that brings together clarinet enthusiasts, professionals, students, and exhibitors from around the world. The festival features performances, masterclasses, lectures, and exhibitions all related to the clarinet.

Over 1500 clarinet players from across the world came together in Dublin, Ireland to celebrate the clarinet in all its form. We were pleased to be supporting three of our brands throughout the week in the exhibition hall.

Légère Reeds

Légère Reeds presented a full range of clarinet reeds for the event attendees to test play and purchase. The popular 'European Cut' was joined this year by the recently released 'French Cut' which is proving to be their most success launch yet.

These long-established synthetic reeds continue to amaze clarinet players with their ability to play with fantastic tone and control, whilst feeling just like cane.

Rovner Products

Rovner Products had great success with their recently released 'LGX' ligature, available for Bb, Eb and Bass Clarinet - this ligature features great projection and clarity for the player.

Other popular Rovner ligatures including the 'Dark' and the Versa' continued to be tested and purchased by players across the conference.

Vandoren Paris

Vandoren Paris had a range of excitng new products available on their booth including the 'HD - High Density' Black Diamond Mouthpieces, which now join the additional tip openings in this popular range.

Vandoren presented a special preview at the 2024 ClarinetFest with their pre-production 'Titanium Black Diamond' mouthpieces - two models, the BD4 and BD5 were available to try in this new material and were the talk of the show!

We were pleased to see so many UK players - the programme featured a number of UK Artists including Anna Hashimoto (Vandoren UK), Sarah Watts (Vandoren UK) Mark O’Brien, and The British Clarinet Ensemble plus many more. It was also fantastic to hear from Michael Lowenstern and Nicolas Baldeyrou in their masterclasses.

Congratulations Sarah Watts, Jason Alder, Peter Cigleris and the whole International Clarinet Association team.
