Trevor James Launch 'Series 8' Student Bb Clarinet
Introducing the redesigned, Trevor James Series 8 Student Bb Clarinet.
The Trevor James Series 8 Student Bb Clarinet has undergone a radical redesign. Based on feedback from Trevor James customers and dealers, they have created the brand new 3TC8 model from the ground up. This new model features a high level of focus on improved intonation, ease of playing, use of precision CNC manufacture, high quality polishing, plating, padding and build, all with high quality materials, we are sure it offers great value and performance.
The Series 8 student clarinet is pitched at a typical A=442hz, and is constructed from a high quality ABS resin body with silver plated keys, resulting in an instrument that is easy to play. The instrument is supplied with two barrels 65mm and 64mm.
The clarinet comes in a lightweight condura protective backpack case, with high quality shoulder strap, carry handles and embroidered TJ branded accessory pocket. Complete with a mouthpiece, ligature & cap, reed, cork grease and a pull through.
The clarinet is fitted with premium white leather pads, whilst the speaker pad is a chamfered cork pad. Combining that with the leather pads, greatly improves the response particularly around the E/B, and F/C. The black bumpers, and blue needle springs throughout the clarinet allow for an efficient and quiet mechanism.
The quality of the keywork is fantastic for this level of instrument - the keys are finished in quality silver plate and features single piece keywork on levers and register key, resulting in a stronger keywork. Trevor James have also included an improved left-hand F/C key adjustable mechanism which will prevent a common a repair-need, whilst the registered key has been reshaped to be ergonomic for the player. The adjustable thumbrest has been fitted as standard, with an additional cork cushion for comfort.
This clarinet is an ideal free-blowing, high quality student instrument which plays very well and has great overall intonation, producing a solid, bright, yet good-quality tone, that will aid any beginner in their first steps.
